Great Bri-tain

"For me there are only two types of women:
goddesses and doormats."

My name is Briana Ellsworth. This is my blog for my 2011-2012 school year at Parsons the New School for Design, as a fashion major.

Two fashion figures from Phase 3.
Hand drawn; digitally rendered by and copyright of Briana C. Ellsworth.

First figure is wearing the Zooey Dress in Pastel, second is wearing Belle du Jour Plaid Strapless Corset Top and Tower Skirt in Oceano.

Here are some of my fav hand drawn, digitally rendered, technical flats that I created for my Phase 3 Visual Communications project.

This is the beginning stages of a Visual Communications project I did on craft paper. I need to purchase a card reader or cord for my camera that I photograph my work on so that I can add photos on here of final works. Hopefully I can make that happen soon. View high resolution

This is a self-portrait idea of mine…the narrative basically covers the feeling and meaning behind it.
I’ll probably further explore self-portrait ideas. For some reason, and I haven’t listened to this song in ages, but I thought of A Boy Brushed Red Living In Black and White by Underoath when I looked at this for like, the eleventh time. Maybe I’ll do some research on that. View high resolution

This is a colourway experimentation that I did with my initial stripe study. I varied the shades of the stripes every so subtly, to create an illusionistic, gradient quality. I probably need to go in and alter these a bit due to the fact that I’m not sure how they are going to repeat. View high resolution

This is my second colour study/palette. This one is less organic and more saturated than my first; based on inspirational pages torn from Whitewall Magazine. View high resolution
